In January 2022, with only one week's notice, Noelle was asked by her job to temporarily relocate to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to work on a disaster response contract for FEMA, leaving her family and friends behind in Virginia.

A few weeks later, Noelle decided to download a dating app to try and meet more people in Baton Rouge. Noelle and Lyle matched on the app almost immediately and began talking on the phone every night until they decided to finally meet in person in March 2022.

After their first date, the rest was history. Noelle extended her contract and stayed a full year in Baton Rouge to be with Lyle. Lyle proposed on January 29, 2023, and Noelle officially moved down to Louisiana.

Lyle and Noelle's favorite things to do together are:

watching LSU football games, walking their dog Cely, spending time with their cats Moose and Snupe, working on creative house projects, and traveling to Monroe and Southport to visit their families.
